- Click on the top horizontal navigational headers (Example: MEMBERSHIP) to view that section’s main page info.
- Click on the dropdown submenu header to view specific details to join as a member (Example: MEMBERSHIP / JOIN).


REGISTER / LOG IN
You must be a Brown alumna/nus or a current Brown student to register.

You must sign in / log in first if you are trying to:
- Participate in some Forums.
- Purchase event tickets (for yourself and your guests)
(You don’t have to become a dues-paying member to purchase event tickets, but note that you will be a higher event fee than current members.)
- Become a dues-paying member
- Renew your membership
- Update your profile
- And any other activity which requires authentication

Registration is free.
As registered user, you must be a Brown alumnus/na, or a current Brown student.
All registrations will be verified.
As a registered user, you agree to abide by our ONLINE CONDUCT RULES as well as our POSTING & FORUMS POLICY.
If you do not agree to our rules, you need to unsubscribe.

As a Current Member, you have access to all the subgroups mentioned above, as well as access to our SFBROWN BUSINESS NETWORK (SBN). You may view our SBN directory and contact alumni who are listed. You may also have access to the SBN Forum.

SFBROWN BUSINESS NETWORK (SBN) MEMBERS
As a Current SBN Member, you have access to all the subgroups mentioned above, as well as access to our SFBrown Business Network. You may view our SBN directory and contact alumni listed. You may participate in the SBN Forum. And, you and your organization’s info are also listed in the directory.


RULES FOR ONLINE CONDUCT

You agree to use the Website in accordance with all applicable laws. Because SFBrown is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization, you agree that you will not use a SFBrown site for organized partisan political activities or commercial purposes. You further agree that you will use all of the services or information provided on the Website in accordance with the rules of conduct set forth below. This includes interactions with other users by email, web post, postal mail, or phone.

Prohibited conduct:
Posting content that slanders, defames, abuses or threatens others
Posting harassing materials (such as racially or sexually charged material)
Posting content that advocates illegal activity
Posting content that infringes another's intellectual property, including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks or trade secrets
Posting material that contains obscene language or images
Advertising or any form of commercial solicitation

Statements or postings which violate the above terms will be deleted from the Website upon discovery. Copyrighted material, including without limitation software, graphics, text, photographs, sound, video and musical recordings, may not be placed on the Website without the express permission of the owner of the copyright of the material, or other legal entitlement to use the material. Although SFBrown does not routinely screen or monitor content posted by users to the Website, SFBrown reserves the right to remove content which violates the above rules of which it becomes aware, but is under no obligation to do so. SFBrown also reserves the right to remove and ban any user that it considers to be violating online conduct and posting policy, as stated here and also in our TERMS OF USE page.

You may not attempt to use or distribute tools designed for compromising security or take any action to compromise the security of this site. Examples of these tools include but are not limited to password guessing programs, cracking tools or network probing tools. You may not "flood" or disrupt our web site through any means or process.

You agree that you will not access or attempt to access any other user's account, or misrepresent or attempt to misrepresent your identity while using the Sites.

ONLINE COMMUNICATION SERVICES

Communication services provided through Online Services, such as the dues-paying Members / alumni-specific web pages, mailing lists, bulletin boards, subgroups, and other services in the future, are a part of the Website designed for private communication between alumni users. SFBrown will monitor these communications, and reserves the right to take action against any User who is not adhering to our posting policy, defaming or harassing another User through any of the services offered through the Website, if it comes to SFBrown's attention.

If you remain as a user, this means that you agreed to abide by our rules.
